Has anyone tried the 09 Liquid force HIFI? They are calling it a hybrid but I see the 5 lines and think C kite!
How does it compare to bridled 4 line hybrids? Depower? Relaunchability?
I would assume that it wouldn’t be well suited for a beginner (since it’s geared toward freestyle) but I could be wrong since I have never flown one!
Thoughts?

Re: Anyone tried the LF HIFI
I've got an 09 Hi Fi, but I haven't flown it yet. How I see it is basically: a C-kite with a fifth line, but the fifth line branches off and connects to a wider area of the leading edge, theoretically allowing the kite to tilt forward for depower when the fifth line is tightened resembling the same mechanics as an SLE. The fifth line is in unison with the center lines so it adjusts with the trim settings on the bar. It's one of a kind, no other kite's on the market follow this design as far as I know. I'll will let you know how well it works once I get a chance to fly it. (any day now)

I have the 2008 LF HiFi 15m. Its pretty decent, flies like a C kite but has depower of bow. 5th line mainly to hold shape but can be used as the safety line or relaunching.
Good wake style kite. The bar is very clean and has below the bar depower which is nice. Not super light on the bar pressure but this is a big kite. I have flown the 9meter as well and really liked that. Very stable and fast. No bridle system on mine, just like a 5 line C Kite.
