Spent a week down there 2 yrs ago this month. Couldn't catch a breeze all week, but nice island. Only 2 public
beaches and you need a permit that gets you a space at both. Kurt was there the same week, not sure if he had any
better luck. Saw local kiters on the beach so it must happen.
Have fun, Peter

It's a daily parking permit sold at the entrance to the lot. Easy. The beach on the so end of the island is flanked by hotels
and is more confined. The beach on the no end requires a bit of hiking and you have to ford a channel to get out to the
beach area. The kiting area is to the north end of the beach. The week I was there the scuba outfitters were pumped
because it was so calm and the week before they couldn't get out because of the wind. Guess I just hit the wrong week.

Hi
The beach in the north end is called "Tiger Tail beach". They just charge you for parking. It is a pretty nice place. Thoug you have to walk a bit, it shuold not be a problem. There used to be a guythere renting some windusrf stuff, paddle boats and kayaks. I am not sure if he is still there anymore. He would only rent equiment. to use in the pond.

Peter and Ric,

Thanks a ton for all the info! I am hoping to get more wind than you had Peter. I did do a little recon on the Internet and read about Tigertail beach, paying to park should be no big deal. I hope to have some good pics to share when I get back.
