Warm and windy Saturday - where to go?

Post by mdh01 »

Where should we go on Saturday? Warm and windy sounds like a good combination! Snow cover in SW Minnesota is minimal...where do we have better snow cover?

Canon?
White Bear Lake?
Swede?
Others?

I am considering either:

(1) Rum River Park terrain (it's a hike to get out there)
(2) Lochness Park terrain (a bit on the small side and not sure how the SW wind will be)

Or the flatland options:

(1) Rice Lake
(2) Turtle Lake
(3) George Watch lake (for a change of scenery)

Not sure as of now...

WBL IS DO-ABLE, BUT IT IS PRETTY TRACKED UP. I'll go there anyway. Not sure about Cannon or the others. Maybe Barry can comment on Medicine Lk.

Yo Mark... howz it? no snow eh... Snow is good up here. Swede is good, not really tracked. I have not been riding there as much with all the terrain avail with the good snow this season. maybe meet at Swede in morning and hit up some terrain form there!

Mike, mille sounds good but I have to stay a little closer to cities, be fun to ride with ya ! Im sure Terry would be up for Malmo...

Near as I can tell, Friday eve and Sunday look like the best bet for wind. I'm going to head out to the island after work tomorrow.
