The wind looks like it will be a little better than the 5 to 10 NWS forcasted for tomorrow. Late afternoon looks best. I'm thinking Buffalo.

I'm thinking about Swede or Lake Washington. Washington may be better for Northwest wind at the South public access, but Swede is much closer.

Hey guys, I'm assuming the ice is good at these locations for riding tomorrow? I'm going to buy a auger before I head out, just to be safe. Is that the lake washington just below white bear? I googled swede lake and couldn't find it. where abouts is it? If anyones heading out somewhere let me know. the more the merrier, Thanks george.

Is Belle aire safe to ride? What about Mathomedi? I know the ice fisherman are out there but are there any "bad" spots? I would love to go to wash or swede but it is a bit of a drive for me.

Hey George Swede is near watertown. take co road 10 south out of watertown and turn left on swede lake road. For todays wind elsworth landing on Washington would be better. The landing on swede is on the ne corner of lake. Not sure where you are coming from. A closer option may be Cresent beach in Tonka bay. it is on the south side of lake Minnetonka east upper lake across lake from Casco point. Washington and swede have been rideable for a week longer than upper Minnetonka so would have thicker ice. See my warning about lower lake on ice on lakes post.

The main part of wbl from bellaire all the way east to mahtomedi just froze over a couple days ago, so I can't imagine that area is very safe. The area from bellaire to the west all the way to the VFW has been frozen for close to two weeks, I''ve seen plenty of fisherman in this area over the last week.
