Looks like we have a window this am before the chance of rain increases around noon today. I'm going to try and get out there by 9:30. Would love company!

Now it looks like the rain might hold off at least through the early afternoon!

D' E-SIDE BOYS WERE ROCKIN' D' MUDDA! Along with Ryan & some ballsy windsurfer..was that you , Pete?
The wind was there along with some of the best surf we've seen. It was great, a day you had to ride 'til. you dropped. The old Gal can really dish it out, and leave you wanting more. We were on 9 to 11 mtr kites, but it wasn't as windy as predicted. The temps were not bad in a dry-suit.

You either saw myself or Tim Vitters. What an awesome time! I was propelling my 103 liter board with a 6.0 wave panther. Lots of power to get out into the big stuff!

Sat was fantastic!
could only ride 1/2 day cause of family but was supercharged on the 9m from 8:30 til 11:30.
There were some legit 8+' at the outer break line near Tot lot that could be riddin all the way in, sooo cool!
Might go again soon if it quits raining

Thanks to Mike Winter for getting me to go down to the SWEETEST spot on the mother. Just east of the concrete wall to the harbor there were HUGE waves that were so smooth and there period was really long so you had all day to play on the wave. Then when you came back you had a monster port ramp to send you sky high. A great time and boy did I sleep good last night.

Resting up today to get ready for another great week of wind!!

PETE -

Sounds like you scored a session on the "new" orange Realwind. Excellent! I'm sure it made for good pix.

Pete-
Sweet picture - where did you take it? Was it in between the tot lot and the pier? Sure looks like it to me as that was the only spot I found where there was that long period between the waves.

The only thing the picture doesn't give one a good feeling of is how high those waves were. When I'd approach them to jump the faces were often over my head.  That flat spot was so sweet to land on!

The Pic is most likely close to where the other guys were kiting. I pretty much rode south of the tot lot.

Awesome shot, Pete. You captured the horizontal beautifully. Now we just need another rider to give the vertical aspect, since I suspect the lips were at least logo high. I'm in Reno so I missed that day, but your photo and Jenn's definitely captured the energy. It's been hard to watch so many major October weather events from afar.
