MTKA ICE

Post by AP »

Thursday, December 12, 2002.
Lake Minnetonka 4-5 inches. Good from Wayzata beach to Kite Island. Ducks are still swimming in a small hole SouthWest of Kite Island (3/4 the way to Big Island). Mostly flat ice with hershey ice-kisses and chocolate chips everywhere. Really nice for snagging lines and clothes. Found one smooth place in front of Robinsons bay, near Northome road, Deephaven. Cross the Ice heaves well South of Kite Island. Procede with caution.
The flags were hardly moving, but the Psycho 15m was working well with ice skates. Wind 1-4 mph. Top speed 22mph, mostly cruizin at 9-13mph. Had quick success filling it with air when the kite was belly down, leading edge into the wind, ports slightly above the ice surface.

Eric if you happen to read this could you please drop me an email.

Thanks

I got mine through Canada. Look at the http://www.flysurfer.de website for distributers. Like AP said, I think Larry at Scuba Center is considering carrying them so call him first! He might have the inside line on them.

FWIW, I purchaced the 9.5 for a price similar to the one you quoted. I purchsed it primarily for snowkiting. I like my Toro's on the water although I might whip out the 16M for fun this season.
