Larry @ Scuba gave me a heckuva deal on a new LF Fish. It is touted as a cross between a skim & a surf board. It planed up easily in the lighter winds last Saturday while flying my 15 'roo. I was out there when others were on their Doors, and seemed to be going in just as light conditions.. Now if I can meet the challenge of going toeside in one direction or learning to jibe, I'll be smiling. :D I should also say it did well in the rollers, & landed nicely following a boost.

Jim, any more feedback on the LF Fish? Do you need to jibe that thing or can you ride it backward like a mutant?
I'm still looking for a fun light wind board. Already have a skim board. Its Fun in light wind but not so fun in chop.

MIKE, I'll be @ MillE next weekend & you can try it. Otherwise, I have found it is NOT quite as good as a door in light wind as it needs more power especially to get up wind. Otherwise, it is a fun down the line surf toy. It does do well in waves, you can ride it fin-first, or switch with the front foot on the leeward rail. I am still working on the jibes for the best transition option. At the price, its a fun addition to your board quiver.
There is also a review of this board in the on-line editon of KiteBoarder mag.

Jim, thanks for the update on the LF board. I found that review online.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make Mille this weekend to give yours a try.
I have to be in Door Co, WI. Fall is a the busy time for our storage business.

The LF fish certainly gives the most bang for the buck. Otherwise I'm looking at a regular surfboard. Either a Celeritas 5' 8 ", or something SS
just came out with called the Dialer. Its supposed to be a light wind surfboard. Over twice the price though.
Thanks again. Have fun this weekend.
