Another Great Day in Duluth

Had another great ride in the waves! Wish I could have shared the water with others, but still a good day!Once again the forecast completely missed it! NWS was calling NE around 10, but by 5:00 I was getting overpowered in my 14… I scored a good 2 hr session, perfectly powered, with some big beautiful waves!

It looks like there might be a BIG nor’easter coming sometime Monday through Wednesday next week!!

Dave, can you fill us in on the kiting conditions in Ashland? How did the ride go? I hope to get out there sometime this summer.

Jon, you're killing me! Actually, Mother's always a surprise and hats off to you for capturing those precious moments. You've definitely upped the ante for paying attention. One of these days soon I'll wake up my schedule enough to get up there and pay attention to that amazing gift of water and wave. For now I'll live through your posts. Ride on.

great day in ashland, there were nice rollers coming in, its super shallow everywhere, and there is a grassy spot too rig your kite. water is warm. it was awesome!

It's always a beautiful sight when I get out of school and reach the top of that hill to see big... unexpected whitecaps as far as the eye can see! It would be even better if I got down there and saw a big white van with windsurfing boards loaded on the back!

NWS just upgraded the forecast for tomorrow... small craft advisory has been issued, NE 20 G25, mostly sunny and a balmy 43 degrees! Looking at the isobars it doesn't look like it will happen... but we'll see what tomorrow brings!
