Grand Rapids Lesson? anyone?

Post by Sam D »

Hi - My girlfriend's dad wants to take a lesson near Grand Rapids MN - anyone teaching close to there or have a trainer kite I could use to teach him. I can pay a rental fee... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sam,

Can he make it to the Mille Lacs event in a little over a week Saturday March 6th?

We have a few classes running and can fold him in. Plus this event is pretty cool with all the kiters gathering, quite the kiters event and worth getting out to...

Hey Nathan, all my reletives live up in the marcell area. Tts an awesome place to get away too. Im up there all the time in the summer, my grandma lives on Turtle lake, and shes got a pretty good launch spot where she is located. I know the area very well. Bowstring, and Winnie I know are great for kiteboarding, there are alot of unfound spots though that i know are out there! cant wait for the summer!

Dave thats awesome its a great area I have been going up for about 20 years now and to be able to kite and paddle surf the area is a treat, we are on Mike Lake a little private lake in between Clubhouse and East lake. Turtle is a sweet lake would like to kite there. Winnie is AMAZING, Tamarack point is so sick waves to flat water all in one! def hit me up when you are there or going it would be great to have some company riding up there its usually soul sessions! 612-940-6639

Was searching for past info on the area and came across this thread.

Dave - if you see this please let me know where you have launched on Bowstring. I have fished there quite a bit over the years. Cow bay on the south end looks interesting.

Thanks and let me know if you will be in the area yet this water season!
