Game Ready. Cold compression unit.
Hi Everyone, I just my surgery last Friday and it went really well. However, it hurts like a MOFO and is bigger than Debbie. I was wondering if anyone has any access to or know where I can rent Game Ready? RIght now, I just have ice packs, and it sucks
Thanks!

I also had knee surgery on Friday, but thankfully for me it is not as serious as yours. I have been using the Game Ready for a half hour on and an hour off during the day. Its working awesome, what a great machine!!! I got it from Summit Orthopedic in Woodbury for $20.00 a day. My insurance did not cover it but I rented anyway.
Good luck on your recovery,

What a coincidence! Hope you're doing well Randy! What's wrong with your knee?
WAAAH!!! 20 bucks a day!!! ? I'm not sure how long I need it for... Yeah, my health insurance requires a doctor's note first. Then they have to shove it up their asses for approval. If you're approved, they will cover 80%. The reason why they don't cover it is because there is no supporting evidence that Game Ready is any better than good old icing and wrapping. BS! It's been cited in multiple peer reviewed journals! WTF!
Mike Nelson, get a publication out about game ready.
THere's a few on sale on eBay for 900 bucks. Which is much better than 2200 brand new. It's the price of an 09 Kite only.

They removed some junk that was floating around in my knee.
Only four week recovery for me. Maybe we should all chip in on one? I have a feeling a few of us may need it if we have another year with little snow. Adam would need a full body version..

So I suppose I should actually hunt down the machine you are talking about, but....I didn't.
Really, the self-filling knee wraps that fill with ice water out of a thermos like thing work pretty well. You gotta change the ice water fill every 10-15 minutes, but you gotta get SOME exercise!
I was at the specialist on Monday, too. Good news: no surgery! Bad news: It's not gonna get any better. I guess if it has suffered "over use", I have had LOTS of fun with it so far. Hopefully the knee will hold in there until knee technology gets really good.
Recover quickly, guys.

I have a Compression ice machine you can borrow I used during my recovery its a Kodiak and is a life saver!
give me a call or email and let me know.
You do not have to change it every 15-20 like Geo mentioned it has a cooler which keeps the ice for a good while at least two hours and circulates the water thru tubing to the brace, Its fridgin amazing.
And depending on what surgery was done depends on how soon you can do exercises or move the knee. but yes the sooner the better.
Randy thats crazy did not know you had surgery hope you are doing well !
I just got a new knee brace http://www.flexfoot.com/lisalib/getfile ... emid=12668 from Summit Bracing and have been seeing Summit Orthopedic since I have been back in MN , they are really good.
Hope you both have a good and speedy recovery.
and try not to get a blood clot/hemo thingy like I did after surgery that hurt worse than the injury and surgery!

Re: Game Ready. Cold compression unit.
Hope you're both doing well. I would suggest putting on a wetsuit for the compression and taking a dip in the lake for the cold. Then when the water warms up in the wetsuit, you do it again. That way you get the hot/cold and compression all at the same time!
Re: Game Ready. Cold compression unit.
EXTRA SMALL WETSUIT, BUT SHE'S GOT A XXXL SIZED BRAIN!
P.S: Thanks for hauling my board back home. How was the 1/2 cup of coffee?
