Thanks, Tighe. Totally enjoyable and I'm still not sure if it's a spoof. When I first saw flat water paddle boarding in Maui several years back I for sure thought it was spoof. Then Laird started doing it in big waves and the stoke's on the way. The power of a few well respected individuals enthusiastically embracing something new has always amazed me. This morning a mom told me her top level snowboarding son and his friends are really into knitting...like it's the next cool thing for boarders. I'm not sure if it's another spoof or a way to stay focused. In any event, the window for moving from wtf to established fad sport has certainly closed as time's seemed to speed up. Just talk to the enthused windsurfers who were railed on in the early '70's, the snowboarders laughed at in the mid-80's, some of the first kiters, let alone hang gliding in the '60's and all the bizarre sports we never hear that much about. In any event, these guys did a great job promoting x-country snowboarding, spoof or not.

That was hilarious. I think it should be called Prairie snowboarding. I remember one lift where you needed about a 20 foot scootch. One guy jumped in the air 3ft and came down on one tip.The tip bent springing him in the air and he came down on the other tip. He simply scootch walked from tip to tip for the 20 feet. I'd like to see a video of that.
