Hey, Scott,

I don't see it ROCKING, but it does look like there will be some wind.

Jeff and I are planning on driving up - my wife let me out of a graduation party commitment (I love her!).

Also, Peter Noreen at Midwest is loading me up with 11 and 13 Rev's, and a 12 and a 14 RPM, so I'm open to demoing these kites to any experienced rider that wants to try 'em out.

First Milly water trip of the Summer - I hope the forecast holds!!!

By the way, re your post about camping at Carlsona- I assume that is meant just for the weekend of the gathering... right?

Hope to see you up there John.

Yes the camping is meant for just the gathering this year on 7-10 through 7-12.

Yeah Rockin might have been a little hyped up but I'm trying. The weatherunderground is saying 14 to like 18 mph on Sunday and iwindsurf is saying 14 to like 29 mph so it looks like something should happen?

Caroline got hit pretty bad with the parasites this last weekend just in the shallows by the boat launch, I'm not riding at Malmo if I can help it, I'll more than likely be at Reddy or Wahcon bay which ever is better wind.

It will blow 15-25+ at milly on Sunday. One of those wonderful warm water cool winds. Based on 10 day mrf I'd say it will be W-NW in early morning going NW. Father Hennepin should be wonderful and works fine on W-NW. I just called there and they said no reports of swimmers itch yet....

Sat Early AM
Will anyone be up there for an early morning garrison or reddy creek session? I'm at Kavanaughs west of Brainerd and could get there for an early session but need to be back here to check out and get the family. If it is not raining I think there is a good chance it will be blowing early in the morning if the isobar map holds and 48 hr exp also shows 15-20 early from S-SE. Call me later today if your interested so I know where to go if its not raining.

Looks like Saturday afternoon through Sunday will be GOOD!

John Z - you are going to Malmo, or FH? It would be fun to try the new kites back to back w/ my T2s. Might have to bring 9s...
We were up at FH a few weeks ago and the wind was maybe 25 early dying to around 15-17 later, but the waves were great. Smooth waist high with areas of shoulder high. Great terrain. But, playing around in the shallows at Malmo makes it easier to try new stuff.

It'll be good either way.

If you've never hit up FH, this video captures swell that is very similar to what FH can deliver.

This was shot in the Gorge just downwind from the Hatchery...

I will be there to practice my jibe on the SRT. Maybe Chad can help me with that one.

Geo,

I don't know where, yet, but I'll post on Sunday. Feel free to call at 612 ask John (sort of an accident :? ). Also, it turns out that somebody else with the initial Tighe Belden has the 12 rpm.

Hoping the am winds will be light enough for medium kites-can't wait to try the RPM's :P

Whoever was out at Father Hennipen today got rocked and smashed! The waves were a little inconsistent but they eventually shaped up to be clean once we all got off the water. :D The wind made for a 4.0-ish sesh for most that were out except for a select few insane peoples.
Also, there seemed to be no problem with chiggers at FH if anyone is concerned. I spent quite a bit of time in the water and have had no problems yet.
Hope it was good at Malmo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
