Should be a good wind on Big Marine for all those that wanted to try it. To get to there keep going east on Hyw4 (170th St in the map) to May Ave, then follow the public access signs. Here is a map:

Stefen L. Yes I still have it but it's back home, I can take off back to the house at 2:30 and be at the Wac around 4, would you still be there? Just a reminder it's the kite only no bar.

Eric, No didn't make it out. By the time I could go out the wind was starting to die down. Next N to NW I'll make it. Maybe Friday. Give me a call if you head there - (651) two eight three - 5132.

What is that new public beach like at Big Marine park? Would it work on NE or ENE? I think Sat looks like that direction and SW and NE are da Bears weak spots.

Keep an eye on later Saturday or Sunday. Could be NE winds at Duluth later Sat and early Sunday and then Sunday it will clock to N - NW and be breezy (father hennepin?).

I've only been over to the Park Reserve Beach once when it first opened. Randy has checked it out and claims there is an area with a decent launch just north of the beach.

I did stop by the old boat launch on a NE wind one morning and it seemed doable. It was a complete side wind, but there was enough to launch and get out in the lake. On the map you can see that east shoreline angles to the NE.
