Spirit tomorrow

Post by Bill S. »

If the gradients look as good in the morning as they do right now, I'm heading down to Spirit for the day. The afternoon session looks like solid sub-5.0--w/90 degrees, bright sun and boardshorts!). Randy, Brian, Z, anybody up for a shred fest?

Hi Bill,

I missed your post. But Green was closer for me anyway (under two hours). Did you go to Spirit? How was it?

BTW: I read your great story the other night. It had me on the edge of my seat.

Chris, I wound up at Green, too. I pulled in while you guys were on the water, said hi to Judd and Diane (and Lucy) and Coach, then opted for the other launch where winds were more onshore. At one point I tried to sail up to the campground to hang with the crew, but within a quarter mile or so the wind clocked offshore and caught me in a big shadow.

Kevin, Mike D. and I had a blast playing in the waves in the NW corner. Good times at Green!

Figures! I should of let everyone know I was heading to Denver on Friday for a short family vacation. I wonder if the wind here on Saturday was from the same system I was experiencing (although without gear) on Friday in Denver? Glad to hear everyone here in MN got some water time over the weekend.

glad to see minnesota is getting wind again, spirit was incredible on saturday... i was fully powered on my fuel 13 and pretty overpowered for awhile... casey was gone at a wedding for the entire day, so i was riding solo, first a set on west lake to get a few pictures takin from a friend in a boat and then later on just myself and spirit... it was blowing 20 plus from 10 am past sunset.. glad to see you guys got out, but it didn't seem right to have the whole lake to myself on such a great day....

Here is the website for the pictures that were taken that day,8/23. The only commitment I had all summer was the best ride of the summer. So the pictures of Jesse are great. Just a note, I've got no time or patience for web pages, so you'll just have to deal with my crappy site.
