Memorable Day at Ramsey

Post by Matt G »

Memorial Day at Ramsey was amazing. Great to see some familiar faces and some new ones as well. The conditions were a little gusty (goes without saying in MN) at times, but all in all a solid day. At one point, I think I counted 20 kites in the air. Look forward to seeing you all out again this summer.

Great to see you too Matt. Jeff Gorton and I went back out at about 5 pm...and it cleaned up and the gusts became more sustained...I thought it was better than the afternoon... nice barley pop on the beach afterwards...hidden in my thermal gloves...Was that Coach I saw up by the rock pile boosting...? :?: 8)

It really was fun to see the gathering of the clan. I got there early to see Jim Norman rigged and ready to go. It was beautiful 12M until it decided to go intermission on us. Glad it came back up for everyone. Scott, if the person you saw was lofting about double height of everyone else, I suspect it was Coach. I think he picked up some extra tips when he got his pilot's license.

Bummed I had to leave early before I could see the antics of some of the master riders who graced the beach, but had a great time doing another harmony/rhythm gig with Steve and Nancy Blain in Wisconsin. Great day. Yes, very memorable.
