ND water kiting today!

Post by Bryce »

I got out for my first water session of the year... In overland flooded fields by my parents house in horace, ND. It was amazing! The water was about 2ft deep all over and it was hot enough not to need a hood or gloves.

Awesome! When we were driving through North Dakota in August of 2005, there were flooded fields that we thought about kiting in, but decided against it because of the tree stumps. Looks like you found an awesome spot! Nice boots, BTW. :)

Yeah the boots were great... My first time trying them out! I definitely like the feel too them, although a pain to get on and tied.

The field was like 1/2 mile from my parent house. I formally had soy beans in it so i didn't have to worry about stumps. It was overland flooding from the Sheyenne River. Some nearby houses are built up pretty high... but they are sandbagged in just in case it rises any further.
