Weekend Kiting?
Anyone finding any kiting this weekend... water or ice? Sat Sun look like there may be something there in iowa?
Re: Weekend Kiting?
What....giving up on snow already? We've got about a foot up here, and it ain't melting till next week. I spent about 2 hrs kiting in blizzard conditions yesterday. Didn't venture onto L.O.W though, although I'm sure it's fine yet, just not near the point in Warroad. Pretty much no wind today though

Re: Weekend Kiting?
I'm not over winter kiting yet! There just doesn't seem to be any wind up north. I was thinking of camping and kiting... but can't do that with no wind!
Re: Weekend Kiting?
Looks windy for Saturday and Sunday in Bayfield, WI. according to the NWS. They just got some snow and are getting more now. The ice should still be good (just not drive on). The ice road to Madeline is closed due to bad approaches on both sides. The wind sled is now on scheduled runs. I might drive up there on Saturday and stay through Sunday.
Anyone up for kiting in the Apostles? Post or give me a call.

Re: Weekend Kiting?
An alternative for water kiting would be Clear lake IA. Wind has been upgraded for Sat from 10 to 12 mph. Some what marginal but not as far if we get skunked. Then get a last winter blast on Sunday in bayfield.
