I just got my new board on wed and it has a small (<1 in.) crack in the nose from shipping damage. I need to find someone who can repair it and make it look like new (or very close). Does anyone know who can do this repair? I have talked with a couple of boat repair places who said that they can do it, but I would like it done by someone who has repaired sailboards before.
Thanks,
Eric

Re: Board Repair question
That looks like a fairly easy repair, but why are you not getting a replacement board out of the store or shipper?

I thought the damage was pretty minor and that it could be repaired easily. The shipping company has already reimbursed me for what should cover the cost of the repair and a little extra, so I took a discount off the cost of the board.
Re: Board Repair question
THE HOUSE used to have Omar do their repairs. Maybe they can give you his contact info. If it was mine, I'd enlarge the ding, rough sand the area, fill with Marine Tex, and then glass over the nose. It wouldn't leak, but it wouldn't be pretty.
