Kite Island Tuesday

Post by scottchapman »

I was at Kite Island yesterday from 3-6 pm. Great conditions. Still lots of untracked snow out there if you venture out a ways. There were a total of 6 of us out. Good 14 meter....should be even better today...

Heading out there soon to get some before the conditions degrade from the warm weather. Driving out is fine, just get on the lake to the right of the launch by the parked Ice Boats...
Anybody want to come out and play on a sunny and warm day??? ETA about noon. :D

Hi Scott:
Hope you had a nice ride. Saw some kites off kite island when I was driving home from work. By the time I got home wind was dropping off and sun was setting. Had a nice ride last night after work on Phelps on the 16. Wind picked up close to sunset for some fun rides on fast quite snow.
Have to get behind the mule and plow again tommorow. But if my customers stop breaking things, the wind looks good Thusday. Lets hope it's snow and not rain.

It was great at the Island today. Warm, sunny, and the fresh snow was not sticky. It had a frosting like consistency. And there is tons of trackless still out there.

Hey Scott,
Sure was nice out at the island Monday afternoon. How did the snow hold up yesterday?
4"-8" of new snow on top of this base could make for some great riding!
