Ripley.. Hard, no powder
Washington.. Hard with a few small areas of softer snow but those are very wind sensitive.
Some good fields around

Coborns field= excellent some hard pack powder and areas with lots of powder up to 1 1/2' of soft powder in many areas. Some scattered rocks in the thin areas. Figured out it works best in west or NW but there are other areas to be explored in other wind conditions :D

Lakes just north of Brainerd - hard packed snow (~4"), no pow, but really easy carve. Lots of slush underneath.

Kite Island many sports blown clean to ice. Even drifts are hard and wind crusted. Lots of rough spots from roads, Ice houses ect. Still allot of fun with sharpe edges. Smaller bays Like Phelps have much nicer snow. No bare spots. But not as consistent wind. Also no other kiters to talk to or race. I miss the soft quite snow we had earlier in the year. My skiis are making some ugly sounds as I cross the lake now.

If the sun shines tommorow with the 30degree temps the snow should soften up a little, I still plan to wear my hockey goalie pants to save my lower torso from rough landings.
