Where do you all set up for WNW? I tried Thomas this morning (walk directly towards the middle of the lake from the parking lot by the beach club) and the wind was not good at all. It was blowing, but very patchy.

Ahhh... you need to catch it from the south side. Wind is going to go over the beach club, missing Thomas Beach and then hit the south side (Someone please correct me if my explanation is flawed).
Wind is gusty and cuckoo at Calhoun anyway. I live 2 blks from the lake and I walk there... can't be too picky about the winds... :-(
So... For WNW winds I usually camp out by the south east side or by the small playground on the East side. Hope to see you there tomorrow!

My bad. The wind this morning was SSE, which was why I was on the north side. I agree, its very finiky, but I also live close and can't complain.

My best Calhoun rides have alwasy come on the northerlies. Don't know if I can make it out tomorrow but we'll see.

Yeah... northerlies seem to be the best. There seems to be a handful of us living around Calhoun... hope to see and know more of you guys. Might be good to have an email list going to see who is up for a sesh to avoid kiting alone. Anyway, hope to see you there today. I'm heading there about noonish like I said...

Just as i suspected all the fancy uptowners are taking over the chat section.

I know that i dropped off for a while, had to go do some powder skiing up north.

I am going home for a few days here and then back out to CO for a few days there.

I want to get out on our local lake, and i agree with an e-mail chain or something for those of us in the neighborhood.

Have a great day and a Merry Christmas.

Peace
Mark
