Have you guys really got enough yet? I guess if I wanted to edge hard into the dirt I could go ride! haha.. If I kite in the snow with my buggy or land board is it still considered snowkiting?! :D

Im down for some snowkiting!

But the snow that is here is not enough and is leaving, and we problably wont be getting more snow for a while. I went snowboarding today, thats a good way to practice up skiing or board skills.

If anybody is going let me know, ill be there!

Went to the field in Cottage Grove late morning to find GREAT conditions. A few blades of grass were the only thing showing. Kite skied until my legs couldn't take it (I guess I need to get in shape)!

Went back later this afternoon to find the conditions not as good. More grass than snow.

It was a great first session!

Hey Chuck ...where are the Cottage Grove fields??? Until we get some ice it sounds like a decent location for us East siders. Thanks.

The field is on Indian Blvd (Cottage Grove) just off County Rd 19 which is also Keats Ave S. There is a Junior High, elementary school and public park all hooked together. We park behind the ele. school. If you want to check it out on Mapquest, here's the ele school address: 9525 Indian Blvd South, Cottage Grove, 55016.

For us eastsiders, it's probably as good as it gets without a long drive. The conditions weren't good by late afternoon yesterday, but were surprisingly good in the morning.
