Where do you launch at ceader?
I've never sailed there.
Is it better than the fluky holey conditions that pleague Calhoune?
Oh and we are talking about the ceader lake in the minnapolis area right?
After all it is the land of ten thousand lakes, I figure that there must be a few ceaders.

Cedar is about an hour ENE of the cities in Wisconsin. Nice little lake and great local crew. Always a great time.

Do a seach on this forum and you should be able to get directions.

I think I need to add it to the Lakes section. Steve you want to do the writeup?

Thanks for the invite, Steve!

All- how is Cedar for newbies practicing beach starts leading to water starts?(I've almost got it now...really!! ). I've been working at it and I need to go where I can best give myself more practice.

Waconia (boat launch) has been best so far, but it will be too sideshore today. Washington is another option, but Steve's Cedar is more inviting (literally!) for the same commute time.

Sorry for the delay replying, I was too busy playing in the wind, cedars east shore would be great for water start and beach start practice, 100 yds out is only chest deep.
As far as launching I'm fortunate enough to launch from home, all are welcome, we are on cedar road off of M, it's easy to see our house as there is a blue windsurfer sign attached to the deck.
Tighe, If I do a write up do just e mail it to you?.
