Who's kiting off Veterans Park, Big Island Mtka???

Post by Tom L »

My neighbors cruise Mtka. quite often, and have said that twice they have seen someone kiting off of the NE corner of big island. That would lead me to suspect they are launching off the beach at the Veterans camp on S or N winds. They said they saw someone there on Saturday 9/4. I'd love to know who this brave soul is, as the boat traffic would be really heavy on a hot Saturday afternoon. Would the real kiter please step forward????

Hey Aaron

I'm thinking about it, but I'll have to see how things shape up. I have some family obligations later in the day. Also the wind might be big enough for a kite but too small for a short board. We'll see what the weather brings, I'll post here tomorrow when I figure it out.

Rob,

So is Mr Kook going by boat out to the veterans park and launching, or did he just happen to be in that area? I've had my eye on thet beach since the Veterans decided to close. Also been eying the commons in Excelsior for straight north winds (after the swim beach closes for the season).

Hey Aaron,

I just found out I have a leak in my main water line in the basement, so I have to go sweat some copper, I'm not sure if I can make it. Have a good one!!
