What's up with the experimental?

Post by Tighe »

If you look at the experimental for tomorrow they are predicting pretty substantial wind...20-30mph. Lots of orange. Unfortunately they are the only ones. Here's the real test of the experimental forecast. I hope they are right. That'd be 5 straight days of wind.

It looks like exp. has the right answer for today. It's already blowing 15-20 or more all over with the best winds of the day looking like willmar and Mille Lacs. I'd be heading to Mille Lacs for the day if I were you guys. I'm up at my parents cabin on shell lake and hoping the wind finds me here but wishing I were heading to the big lake. Just glad it's a day off and we're not at work!! Enjoy the day wherever you end up.

Anyone else have trouble sleeping?

Post by Randy »

I tried sleeping with the windows open last night....big mistake. I should have just gotten up and gone sailing. Anyway, Izaty's is saying it's a lousy day for golfing or fishing which means it's time to head up there.

I should be there by 10am. If it's still West, I'll head to Hunters. Hoping to see a posse up there given the holiday.

Yea, Tighe, Experimental was standing alone with this last night and I was wondering if anyone else was confused. I"m still puzzeled by it all, but gambling on some stronger wind and terrain up north. Maybe see you up there.

Kevin, your post at 4:30am indicates you had trouble sleeping, too. Hope the wind makes it to Shell for you.

I've got to stick around town today... Bellaire should be killer - and most of the holiday'ers will probalby stay away from the beach, given the 'crappy' weather. :-)

I know what you mean about the open window. I almost got up and shut mine. Is Hunters Point the best place when the wind is west. I'm lobbying for Father Hennepin, but have never been to Hunters.
