Leaving after work today to Milacs. I am bringing the family / kids and friends up for the weekend. We are staying at Little Whitefish Resort. I havn't sail there since Teran H. won the Crossing (1992?). Some of you old timers will remember that epic day where we crossed on 100 liter short boards and Judd was doing duck jibes the entire time.
The forecast this weekend is SW 7-14. Where are the spots so that I could do a little teaching without having to rescue them with a boat? If there is no wind, I'll play some golf and tennis. Perhaps you may consider joining us? Thanks.
You were my favorite commander! "Make it so." always slayed me...Its nice and shallow both at Malmo or at Reddy Creek which is past Carlsona on a small pull-off behind a guard rail. If the winds cooperate I may see you there. Look for kites in the sky. JN
Big Jim, thanks for the tip. Don't remember the name of the beach but I found a shallow / sandy beach (way too shallow) just past Malmo. The wind was blowing 10 - 20 knots on shore. Everybody chickened out so the wife says I got 30 minutes to play before we head back to the cabin. Sloppyly rigged up my 7.5M in record time. Didn't even bother to re-tune the sail. Fully powered up and in the straps the whole time. The only thing hard was trying to turn my fat boy 120 litre course slalom board on the face of a wave.
