I don't know if it because we all care about the well being of our fallen superman, Alex ( aka. Lucky) or we all just get something from reading about other's near death experience. In either case AP's Big Adventure posting was viewed more than any other posting to date (341 times!). I'd like to think it was the former reason.

Alex even in your recovery you have an audience.

I don't mean to throw cold water on your theories but I think it has more to do with the number of replies to the post. Count me in for 16 views.

It would be interesting to take the number of views and divide it by the number of replies. I wonder what that number would mean?

Anyway, It was interesting to read about that adventure.

Actually it probably doesn't say much for the dialog on this chat if the topic that generated the most replies and views was someone's accident. Hopefully there was something valuable that came out of that dialog.

What happened to the good ol days when the following would generate quite an active discourse:

Riggid frame kites rule!
Kites from 1999 were the best
Sails made from bed sheets go upwind better than the new camless sails.
Boards carved from logs that have soaked in Superior for the last 90 years have the best relationship to the water.
Masts made from pussy willows have the best flex
The best kitelines are made from the spider from James and the Giant Peach
Marmot is better than Patagonia
PCs have Mac envy.
etc...
