My favorite lake for South East winds just got weeded. It was Lake Winona. It only took a week of nice weather and the weeds are at the surface.
Not sure if a weed fin will work. If someone uses weed fins, and the weeds are hitting the top of the water, would it still work. How much weeds is to much weeds for one of these fins.
Curious to know what you do if you have this problem with weeds in your favorite lakes. My idea is that you move to another lake.
Do they make a lawn mower attachment for windsurfers?
I use Curtis weed fins & they will shed the thickest milfoil, even at the surface. They tend to make my boards rideup at high speed, and turn a little less smoothly, but I have no choice. But yes, they do work, and mine tend to wash out less than a pointer fin. I get my fins at The House.

Hi
Thanks for the reply. Those weeds can sure grow fast on a lake, and if you fall in, you can get tangeled up very quick.
I think the Curtis fin you mentioned would be great.
If anyone has a used Weed fin with a regular base for sale, let me know, otherwise I will order one from the House.
Also if anyone has a 8.4 or 7.4 sail, I am in the market of getting one to enjoy the light wind days in the summer.
