looking to get back in the short board loop-Aaron warkov

Post by aaron warkov »

Well for those of you who do not know me, let me introduce myself.
My name is Aaron Warkov I started wind surfing in Minnneapolis at the age of 15 in 1976. I worked at Free Ride, the first real core "windsurfing is my life" store in minneapolis.
I taught windsurfing for a number of years there, and competed nationaly in the windsurfer one design class.
as the sport progressed to short boards I got hooked, I chopped and glassed my first donkey eared fins into my board put some footstrap inserts into deck, got a high wind sail and started chop hopping on lake calhoun and never looked back.
By the early eighties I had moved away to the east coast and have recently moved back to Minneapolis after nearly twenty years.
I love shortboard sailing, I'm looking for some other drop everything, self employed types to go play when it blows! And for day trips to the good sailing spots I'm very interested!
E-Mail me at http://WWW.AARONWARKOV1@EARTHLINK.NET if you are interested in not sailing alone or want another person in the mix. Or try my cell.#612-599-0505
Thanks, Aaron.

Hey Aarron, how's it going. Next time you're out this way give me a ring. Glad you found this place on the web. You are at the right place if you want some buds to go sailing with. The high wind guys here drop everything for wind. Just stay tuned & you'll find out where everyone is going. I usually stay at Tonka, due to time constraints.

Welcome back Aaron!

We use to skateboard together in the 70s. Infact, some of that old gang is still skating around here, the only change is we bring our kids now.

It would be great to see you again. You can reach me at 612-824-2365.

Have you tried kiteboarding?

My goodness, it is a small world. Holly & I bought our home in Orono from Aaron just over 2 years ago. Keep checking this sight to see when and where people will be sailing. I personally have enough gear for a family of six and would be more than happy to set you up for a day of shreading on one of these fine windy spring days if your short some equipment. See you on the H2O soon :!:
