Again: Just to give some food to provoke some thought....

There's just no reason to shy away from weed fins. Some sailors think you don't go as fast with a weed fin.

Well,,,You just need to try both fins (Weed and straight or sweeper fins) on same rig and board and SEE for yourself.

In fact: "Sailing with a weed fin makes planing gybes easier and smoother" says, Philip Money of Windsurf Inc. (and Winner of the Speed Ditch Run in the Laguna Madre).

Myself: (I was on my racing fin for 30 minutes yesterday, I switched to my weed fin and I went FASTER!
