Another "Deep Thought".Winter wait vs. Summer wait for wind

Post by Quetzalcoatl »

Ya know: Really The Winter Wait for ice out and for wind is shorter than the Summer wait for wind.

Usually as soon as a Minnesota lake is "ice free" it's WINDY!! March and April are usually good wind months.

"May" starts to creep in with "light" beer (I mean light air!) Then it's a matter of waiting out the summer with our hot

doldrum summer days (with little or no wind) of June, July and Sept. and then usually October kicks in with Fall wind, November is usually great and early December too!

So it's just January and February (and first two weeks of March) that we have to get through. In my opinion the Winter wait

is shorter than the Summer wait!
