Quetzalcoatl is getting ready to say something.......

Post by Quetzalcoatl »

AHH....AHH....yeah, Windsurfing is the Greatest! Anybody up for some sailing in the 88 mph South wind in Corpus? (on Saturday).

Maybe that's a little overkill. Pete G. and I (and Tim V.) sailed in 50 mph wind on Lake Pepin in March of 2016. It wasn't much fun really.

Kinda slow really just trying to hang on to the boom and chug up the front side of waves.

35 mph is just about my maximum strength that I'll put up with.

And that's pretty easy wind in the Laguna Madre of Padre Island where the water is just chest deep.

Windsurf man out and waiting for Fall winds.

What!!! That was an awesome day, although it was a bit cold. I think you are exaggerating a bit though. It was only gusting to 45. In order to break out of your 35mph threshold you need to get on 'one' of your smaller boards. I suspect you have a few? Windsurfing life takes a glorious turn when you can manage boards under 85 liters. This pic, OF YOU, is from that day. 95 liter F2?
