HAH! Now that I've got your attention:
I just posted that to get you all to read this observation: completely unrelated to the title of post.
You know: We wait for wind,,,almost as much in Summer as we wait for "ice-out" and wind in the Winter.
So: don't be "down" in the winter when it's going to be just about the same in summer. We live in a a "Light air"
area of the world. Just adjust to the conditions. If it's light wind, then teach some newbies, a little stronger light air requires
a jumbo sail, 15 to 20 mph wind needs a medium sized sail. If it's nuking wind then use a small board and small sail.
If it's cold, wear a thick wetsuit,,and if there's some water with those icebergs out there, then wear a Dry suit.
I personally have Windsurfed every month of the year in Minnsota except February. Yeah, that means I've windsurfed in
December many times (in Minnesota) and January (twice in Minnesota) and March several times. For some odd reason February just didn't provide me with proper conditions,,,either no wind during the Feb. thaw,,or was to cold. But we DO get January thaws and that's when I've gone "planning" in the Misissippi for an hour! Windsurfing is for the entire year!
Quetzalcoatl out. "Keep your toes wet!"
