Lake Madison had good wind all day until dark, who else?

Post by Quetzalcoatl »

People of the "Good wind," Lake Madison (near Mankato) had steady wind! Three of us sailed it from
Bray Park. Two of us on Ezzy 8.5's and one guy on Loft 7.4. Hey,,,we were planning all day!
It must of been a steady 18 with a few gusts knotched up,,but not much more.

This was nice, and predictable...I felt like I was on Padre Island. "Steady wind!"

Anybody else get better wind yesterday or at least comparable wind on other lakes?

Quetzalcoatl out.

Eric,

I'm that "7.4" guy. Nice sailing with you that day. Chad posted a video of the three of us:

Chad came over to German, my usual lake, and took video that day also:

I was solo on German 8/17. Here's the followup email to Chad:
Had a good session over there today. Used my 7.4 sail. A bit overpowered at first but it gradually came down. German stays nice and flat when wind is WNW; good conditions for speed.
