It wasn't very good at Waconia yesterday, IT WAS FREEKY AWESOME-WABI!!!

Flattened by some squals before it completely shut down and had to schlog in, Thank the heavans I was out there on a 1998 4.7M Ezzy Wave and Fanatic 9'1" AllWave paddle board. As Adam Mc. said, "Straps are over rated" ;) I tend to agree!

Hope everyone else found some sailing or kiting yesterday!

Yeah...I originally wrote: that the Best wind would be down here in the "Southland" of Minnesota. Waconia was just
a "wee" bit too North.

Just as forecasted...the wind kicked in (on time at 11:00 am) around 22-25, gusting to 40! This persisted to about 3:30 pm.

I postponed my arrival time,,,thus (that's why Pete G., Brian S. and Gregg A.) had such a fabulous time!

I got on the water (along with Joe from the metro area) around 3:00pm which was still pretty good on a 5.0 Ezzy and
112L techno. I later switched to a wider board (thus not needing to change a sail) and I still got some fast rides out of
The Ezzy 5.0 and 140 liter Fanatic Shark. Mike, (with the well trimed 5.7 m. North "blue sail)) also showed up for planning action!

At around 5:20 Bill S. got on water for a brief sail with his 5.5 Ezzy. But the wind turned in to Schlogging wind.

!Windsurfing will rise again!!
