Pete says you guys caught the best wind around 4:30 pm.

What gear where you on?

Some details please!! (this way I can live through the moment).

Thanks,
Eric.

It was gusty 5.0-6.0 early. I took off and went for a road bike ride and of course it really came up about 5:00-7:00 p.m. A friend and I put our heads down and bucked the southerlies for an hour then turned away and sailed back! Not windsurfing but definitely close to it...

As Bill mentioned conditions were a bit tough. I arrived around 2pm, probably wasn't on the water until close to 3 as I was waiting for Chadr to arrive with some new gear. 1st session out I had some good runs with a Cheetah 6.5 & the Techno 148. I thought the wind was pretty full for about the first 30 min then tapered off. We took a break then about 4:30 I went out on the 6.5 and tried the Rocket Wide 138. Winds were gusty and shifty and kept picking up. My brother & I both ended up being way over powered on our 6.5's. I couldn't really get a feel for the new board as I just wasn't rigged right for the conditions late in the day. All-in-all it was a good session to start the season for me.
