Sunday, March 19th Lake Cannon, the update!!

Post by Quetzalcoatl »

Wind folks,,,this Sunday there'll be reasons for bringing out the garage cleaning "tools" to Lake Cannon

or a pond near you! Likely to need small brooms to medium sized brooms,,,no big brooms needed. "Hint, hint, nudge, nudge."

This is Quetzalcoatl and I approved this message.

Cannon surprised us with over half lake covered with ice!

Still four of us sailed (windsurfed) and one Kiteboarder.

At one point two windsurfers were blasting in alongside the kiteboarder with the ice mass behind them. That was an amazing scene!

Fun to be out on flat water right on the edge of the ice. The ice stayed mostly in one piece after freezing hard the two weeks AFTER thawing out.

Geo (Jeff):

This is Quetzalcoatl (Eric) and I'm the guy who picked up your kiteboard from the shore (small Cannon beach)...and you were the kiteboarder cruising in

in good form with that "on-shore" wind. But now that you put out a post yesterday (and I see your computer "nick-name" is Geo,,,wow,,you're the guy that I bought
from first weed fin from! I still use it! That 44 cm Curtis weed fin. That day, back in 2002,,You had to be away for the day,,so you left it for me outside by the door.

I now have lots' of weed fins,,but that Curtis fin is still my favorite!

Thanks again,,,and strange how connections finally come full circle.

Thanks Eric!
It only took the connections of 3 people to link the pickup of my board that day, but I was able to get it at B SMITHS. Wind community unite. Thanks, all. Glad that weed fin still works :)
