Swamp, Swamp, Swamp Sailing.....

Post by Quetzalcoatl »

Those marsh lakes just off I-90, west of Blue Earth might be sailable on Feb 19th!

After 4 days of 50's (and maybe a day of 60) those shallow next to I-90 swamps could be sailable!

Some fast sailing (using a weed fin). There's one just about halfway 'tween Blue Earth and Fairmont, it's shaped
like a butterfly, and is about 2000 yrds wide (west-East) 500 yards long. Could be GREAT for south wind. It does have a cement boat launch ramp and a dock. I've always just driven by and the wind is always just cranking there,,this is right in the high prairie country with no hills, obstructions not even a tree!
The wind is only predicted to be 14 mph but with my 10.8 sail and formula board...
I just might try it out and do some Swamp, Swamp sailing while listening to some Swamp, Swamp, Swamp Music by
Lynyrd Skynrd.

Swamp Sailor out.
