New Sensor
To Kite Island Users,
If we can get enough votes, we can get a new wind sensor to provide real-time wind readings at Kite Island. Please log on to http://www.iwindsurf.com , register and vote for Kite Island, Lake Minnetonka.
The actual sensor has been Ok'd for Breezy Point which will provide a more undisrupted location. Contact any MYC and WYC members if you know them. They could use the sensor too.

Great idea. Though I don't know if iwindsurf is the best way to accomplish it. When they contacted me a few years back, as some of you may recall, they wanted to swallow up Lakawa and then charge for the service. They have a free promo to hook you then it's a paid service. At the time they said our numbers here didn't warrant new sensor installations so they would just pull from other data feeds. Maybe that's changed.
I like the idea of weather stations at the lake. Charlie, you should look into putting these up yourself. I know Tim Walker has done a lot of research on it. Tim, any advice? I and I'm sure many others would consider donating $ toward dedicated equipment.
But if I knew exactly what it was doing at the lake, I couldn't do my fancy extropolation calculation of the triagulation, of each individual station, in my preparation for rejuvenation. I'd have to pack less though.
