My astute observation on the main windsurfer groups is that there seems to be three principal
lakes that attract (at least) a group of windsurfers (when the wind is up!).
These lakes are: In Southern MN, it's Lake Cannon (around 8 to 12 sailors).
In the Middle (or Metro area) it's Lake Calhoun (sometimes 20 windsurfers).
To the west a bit (of Twin Cities) Lake Waconia (a good group of windsurfers and kiteboarders).
(Otherewise it's sailors pretty mucho on their own, on one's own time and place).
Maybe sometime we should join forces and have a large posse of sailors riding together. (Not just once a year as in
"The Crossing" of Lake Milac) but better to have this several times a year!
Some day. Lake Calhoun would be the center of things, but there's no kiteboarding in summer there
so it would have to be Cannon or Waconia.
Windsurfing on the Rise (Kiteboarding too)!
Quetzalcoatl out.
