Padre double bonus

Post by Dean Rizer »

Departing the 15th early AM and I had believed the low wind forecasts and packed all my gear. Out of nowhere around 10:30 this morning a norther blasts in. The bay waters turned from calm to caps in minutes.
I went to the south flats to see if anyone was riding. There was lots of activity, and I noticed Mike was pumping a number of kites. As I neared he yelled; 9, 11, and 12 Pivots ready to go.
Took me seconds to get my harness on. Mike launched me and off I went on the 9.
Reminded me a lot of the original 3 strut Rally. Very manageable launching in swirly gusty 20-30 off shore conditions. Once in cleaner air the kite handled extremely well. Light one handed turns, drifts well, and boosts well with huge pop and great float. Smooth power delivery, not grunty.
I stayed out about an hour as others were eagerly awaiting a turn. Looked like Ozones, naish , and Blade kites were available. Riders of all levels had a chance to test new gear in great winds which was fun to see. There were smiles all around and for me a double bonus!

Thanks Mike!

That was a fun day! One of many. My dealer is giving me incentives on those Pivots while inventory lasts. You got a great deal on yours and thank you for the opportunity to be your retailer. I'll run more demos here now that we're back and timing is upon us. Thanks for taking time to post!
