I was out at Wac today at 3PM launching from where the bike path crosses the dirt road on the north side. I think its North Shore Road. Wind was more south east than due east with a couple 20+ gusts. East probably would have been fine too yet straight side shore. I'm a noob and had a delicious session, but here's some notes of caution if you go to this very non-beginner location.

Good grassy place to set up, but then you must climb down a steep 8 foot bank and navigate over a fallen tree with roots exposed. Make sure no dangling lines or they WILL get caught. There's zero shoreline. Trees are growing out over the water and there are some fallen trees as well. The water level is very high so without some side shore wind or body dragging out, your kite will be in the trees.

To get back up, have help or let the air out of your kite and fold it up before climbing back up the bank. There are a hundred pokey things waiting to snag your kite or poke a hole.

Happy kiting.
