Spring Lake ?

Anyone ever scouted out Spring Lake? It is on the Mississippi , just east of Apple Valley. I'm going to be down there on Sunday and wonder how it might be on an east wind. Looks like there is a protected area that is out of the main part of the river that would help against the debris flow. On the other hand: river flows east, wind coming from the east...just like the Gorge!
