I vote for "post of the year" just for the pics, though the eagle in the background seems somewhat unimpressed.

Why are we driving up to a flat lake this weekend?

Pete, send me the pic and I'll add it to the Lakawa homepage images. mike@lakawa.com If file image is too large I have a simple solution.

Great shot! And to expand on Jason's comment: Getting images is a selfless act! It takes time from your ride and time to share, both critical times. I'm usually searching for the later. Nice work.

If this thread is going to go viral, then I'd better add a couple more. haha Thanks again Pete for putting down your kite and snapping some shots. Next time we'll get some gliding pictures from the big wave!

This really is a great spot for most wind directions, but it requires the heavy snow to pack down the tall grasses.

February is the best!

Thanks Matt, but I think we all know why we're going to The Lake this weekend. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Awesome photos! I'm defiantly hitting this place up next time I'm in town. Now I'm upset I didn't head over there instead of ride the icy snow here in Winona.
