Breezy point ice fest

Post by paul-b »

Anyone know the conditions on Pelican lake, is it slushy? Thinking of possibly attending the ice fest this weekend.

The main lake is slush, below a coating of 10 inches of snow. Not sure about the bay area at Breezy where the ice fest is held....I tried to snowmobile onto the lake and was stuck in deep slush about 25 feet off shore. Couldn't even walk out to setup my kite this past weekend due to the slush. Yuck...

Yup there is slush below a bunch of inches of snow. Some spots were worse then others... and some spots didn't have slush. Might be frozen up now with all the cold weather.

Once I got moving kiting it was pretty good and I rarely was hitting slush. All in all.. very fun!

I'm going to plan on going out to the ice fest this weekend as well! Give me a call if your coming up!

Over at Todd's house it is really nice. No slush in the area where he was grooming!
