Post by Bryce »

A guy with a cabin near reddy had a board wash up at his dock a few weeks ago. He came and talked to us and wants to get it back to the rightful owner. He said the board even had a bar code and a price still on it. Shoot me an email and I'll give you his contact info so you can describe it to him.

Thanks for the contact info to this gentlman. I diescribed it with detail and he just started laughing and said "I bet that thing cost you a lot." Aparaently no damage was suffered since he said it didn't even look scratched up, "it looks brand new." Thanks to all for 'maintaining the community' on this, it was almost an expensive hicky. I'm going to message the guy whom it got away from to put his mind at ease.

I'm working with http://www.thetileapp.com/ now in consideration for adding this to the shop. Like the Wind Meter http://store.lakawa.com/product/weather-flow-wind-meter, seems like a worthwhile addition. However I'd like to see how The Tile holds up. I'm aware of several boards donated not only locally but more regular to the lagoona madre. $19 is simple insurance - if it works.

What r the odds that the board washes in to someone's beach who has the tile app?
It sounds like you can only find your lost item if it comes within wifi range of another tile user.
Is that correct?
