Hey Barry, I've posted some feedback on the 13M cloud a few weeks ago here.
http://www.lakawa.com/lakawa-chat-f1/st ... 15188.html.

Since that post, I've tried the 13 in super light winds, it works really well (paired with a good light wind board of course). I've been using it with a Paipo-like strapless board for light winds and it's been great. Not as grunty as the Fat lady for example but it is 4M smaller so I wasn't expecting to get the range of a 17 but it does perform like a 15 for sure.
I've got an 8M cloud now too and love it. very powerful, super quick kite (although I've never seen a slow 8M!) jumps well and, like the 13M, drifts really well which makes it super fun while riding strapless. 13 and 8 is a good combo. 13 and 10 too much overlap I think.
Never had a problem relaunching with either kite. if you manage to crash the kite TE down, it's a bit tricky to relaunch but very easy with proper technique.
Your own experience will be better than anything I can tell you. Next time you see me at the beach, you are welcome to take it out for a spin.

From what I have seen you make the cloud shine. From riding with you at Father with the heavy winds and again in the super light winds at Washington the kite and board combo serve you well.

Thanks Diego. I've seen you a couple of times from afar, and you look very much at home (and well powered) on it.

BRM has some really innovative minimalist designs going. I'm very intrigued with the direction. I bought a Paipo about a month ago. Still exploring its broad potential and the fun laid-back ride it gives.

Hearing the you also picked up an 8 says a lot about how good the ride is. I've always preferred the short throw, enhanced response you can find some kite designs. Sounds like that's how the Cloud behaves from comments I've read.

Sometime I hope to see it up close.

Thanks.

Diego,

Are you kiting much this winter? Any chance we could trade kites for a few passes? I'd love to try the Cloud.
