I made it out about 3PM and it was perfect. BTW, has anyone talked to the owners of the property about .5 mile west of the boat launch where the road is right next to the lake? Do they mind if we come up on shore there? I had to have my wife pick me up down there...yes the joys of being a beginner kiter, not making it back to the launch site.
That was my 5th attempt at kiteboarding and finally was able to stay up for 30 seconds at a time. WEEEEEE! I think I'm getting the hang of this now!

It's not a complete year of kiting for me if I don't end up in that little cove at least once. I have spoken with the owners and they do appreciate it if you ask about leaving your gear on their "beach" while you go get your car, etc. Of course, it's after the fact as you've already crawled up the rocks but a little courtesy goes a long way.
