Vision isn't as good as daylight naturally but if you have ever noticed on a walk or otherwise being outside at night during the winter, you can see quite well. Kiting on the lake at night is fun. Full moon or cloudy, both offer similar visibility with unique and fun ride. All the white from the snow refelcts light. Clouds bounce city light back down on the white snow, starry nights do the same. Worth experiencing :) It opens up a lot more ride time during the winter.

There will be kiters on Tonka tonight as well. Wayzata Bay for sure and if ice is good we may drive out to kite island.

KITE NIGHT
Safety first
Over flying your lights is dangerous.
Know who else is out use the buddy system when possible.
Front and rear lights on your helmet. Lights on your kite will help other people see you. Do not leave your lines out wind them up when you parked.

Be safe have fun.

Kite Island was amazing. Forgot how great it is to rig up in the shadow of the island then step out into that massive lake. Snow was good enough for endless carves downwind and incredible speed runs. Skies were cloudy at first giving great visibility, then cleared off and got darker but the stars overhead were amazing. Great crew and a good vibe.
