downgraded and staying local @ Wash. Hoping for some decent rides today. :)

I've been there only once last year. Where do you park? and is there is any free parking?

FInally made it our to White BEar at 4:45. THere was just enough wind to get me to pump up, and with help got the kite actually in the air (13 octane). Since I had it all pumped up. Wind was enough to get some rides and even get up wind a bit. Not enough to throw those things that I'd been wanting to try w/ killing myself in 30+gusty conditions.

So why post?

Wind shifted around so much so that at one point it went sw - and pretty solid. But I was down by the boat ramp at the east side of Ramsey. I tacked abck and forth in a little path about 100' wide between the shore and the bouys. The wierd thing is even in that amount of space, you can still go upwind. If you overshot the bouy, there was not wind. Felt like I was in my own video game or something.

Today looks possible mid-late afternoon. And Duluth is showing 20knots, with probably some smallish waves.
